Kelowna 2008 BC Summer Games

The BC Summer Games are the largest multi sport event in BC and provide a competitive opportunity for the best young developing athletes in the province. Over 4000 athletes, coaches, and officials will participate in the Games that will be organized by a 15-member volunteer board of directors and over 4000 community volunteers. The BC Summer Games bring together volunteers, business, and sport in a celebration of individual achievement and community spirit.

 

The 2008 BC Summer Games are scheduled to take place July 24 – 27 in Kelowna.  At these games, the sport of soccer is open to athletes (Boys and girls) born in 1996 and is being presented as a showcase event for the Provincial Sports Model and the British Columbia Soccer Association U12 small-sided game Super 8’s soccer program.

 

Tryouts for the U12 Girls and the U12 Boys teams will commence the last week of April 2008. Make sure to visit this web site for tryout dates and times.

 

All interested players must register before April 30th, 2008 at alexesg@shaw.ca . Include in the e-mail the players full name, date of birth, team currently playing with, position, phone number and e-mail address.

 

All applicants must reside within Zone 4. Clarification on the boundaries of Zone 4 can be found at http://www.bcgames.org/your_sport_zone_map.html

Ladner Boys Soccer Club is located in South Delta in Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.

Ladner Boys Soccer Club is a member of Delta District, which is comprised of soccer clubs from Ladner, Tsawwassen, North Delta, Peace Arch and the Fraser Valley. Delta District is part of B.C. Soccer (BCS), which is the umbrella organization for all of the youth soccer clubs in B.C.  All soccer players must be registered with the District and all U11 to U18 players must be registered with BCS as well. The Club is governed by its own charter, however, the Club falls under the direction of both District and BCS and are subject to their rules and regulations which govern a significant portion of the Clubs activities. The Club is comprised of distinct levels of play. The younger boys or "House League", ages U7 to U9 play only in Ladner. At U10 they play in Ladner and Tsawwassen and through U11 - U14 they become part of the competitive league and travel throughout the District to play. At U15 - U18 teams are part of the Fraser Valley league and may travel as far as Chilliwack.

U8 & U9   4:00 to 5:15 pm

 

U10 & U11 & U12   5:30 to 6:45 pm

 

All at Holly turf.  Please show up just a few minutes before your starting time.


Boys born 1996 to 2002 are eligible to join Spring Jamboree Soccer, running between April 20, 2008 and June 15, 2008.  Play will be on the Holly Turf Field on Sunday afternoons.
